Damaged Part/ Repair

Fiberglass is incredibly easy to fix. Depending on the size and area of damage these steps should be followed for the best results.

Light Damage (Small cracks)

  • Grind out the cracks fully, make sure to not grind all the way through.
  • Clean out the grooves properly.
  • Add Ever coat Fiber-tech compound with hardener (Link) 
  • Sand smooth
  • Add body filler

Medium Damage (Larger Cracks, Pieces Missing)

  • Grind out the full damaged area
  • Clean out properly.
  • Add Ever coat Fiber-tech compound with hardener (Link) 
  • Build up compound making sure to get in every part of grinded area.
  • Sand smooth
  • Add body filler 

Heavy Damage (Chunks missing)

  • Grind out the full damaged area
  • Clean out properly.
  • Add 2-3 layers of fiberglass matt wet with resin and catalyst on the back section.
  • Add 1 layer of fiberglass matt wet with resin and catalyst on the front section
  • Sand and grind to body shape
  • Add Ever coat Fiber-tech compound with hardener where needed (Link) 
  • Sand smooth
  • Add body filler  

General

EGP composite products run from 3/16th" to 1/8th" thick.

Kits

Each Bedside Kit has 3 separate options to choose from, their descriptions are listed UNDER the buy now button. These options can be selected by clicking kit options ABOVE the buy now button. Typically a kit will include all the hardware and adhesive to install the listed products, as well as an installation manual to walk you through the process.

Painting

We would recommend using Martin Senour Acrylic Urethane Premium Paints which can typically be found at your local Napa or Paint store. 

2 coats of primer and about 1 hour of block sanding on each side

Returns

Freight:

When a product arrives it is the customers responsibility to check the product over before the customer accepts the package. 

  • If the product is damaged or deformed in any way, do not accept it then email us letting us know you are sending it back on the truck. We will then offer you a replacement or a refund. 
  • If it has been less than 30 days since you received the package, you have accepted the product and you decide that you would like a refund, email us and we will set up a refund and return shipping. *Customers are responsible for return shipping cost.

Standard shipping

  • If you have decided that you no longer want the product within 30 days after delivery. Send it back then email us regarding a refund.
  • If you would like a replacement part email us letting us know.

Shipping

Freight: 3-7 business days.

Standard: 1-4 business days

Tracking numbers typically are activated 24-48 hours after the shipment has been picked up.

Tracking numbers for freight items and larger ground shipped items are sent out via email.
